Preis für außergewöhnliche Leistungen für Menschenrechte auf kommunaler Ebene / Award for extraordinary achievements for human rights at the local level / Prix pour honorer des initiatives et réalisations exceptionnelles dans le domaine des droits de l’homme sur le plan communal
Die Stadt Graz schreibt einen Preis für außergewöhnliche Leistungen für Menschenrechte auf kommunaler Ebene aus.
Bewerbungen für den zweijährlich verliehenen Menschenrechtspreis 2007 können ab sofort eingereicht werden. Die Ausschreibungsfrist läuft bis 30. September 2007.
1. Vorschlagsberechtigung: Jede Person/Organisation ist berechtigt, Vorschläge für mögliche PreisträgerInnen zu machen, Eigenbewerbungen sind nicht zulässig. Vorgeschlagen werden können Einzelpersonen, Gruppen von Einzelpersonen oder Vereine und andere Rechtspersonen in Österreich und im europäischen Ausland, die Leistungen für Menschenrechte auf kommunaler Ebene durchgeführt haben.
2. Gegenstand: Leistungen für Menschenrechte auf kommunaler Ebene Besonderes Anliegen der Menschenrechtsstadt Graz ist die Förderung des friedlichen Zusammenlebens aller Menschen innerhalb der Kommune. Eingereichte Leistungen werden in Hinblick auf die Förderung von Toleranz, Dialog und Versöhnung und auf ihre Wirkung im kommunalen Leben von Graz und anderen europäischen Städten bewertet.
3. Der von der Stadt Graz bereitgestellte Preis hat eine
Gesamthöhe von € 7.000,-. Bei mehreren PreisträgerInnen kann der Preis geteilt werden. Die Bewerbungen müssen der Satzung des Grazer Menschenrechtspreises entsprechen, die zusammen mit dem Einreichformular beim Grazer Büro für Frieden und Entwicklung angefordert oder im Internet unter www.friedensbuero-graz.at herunter geladen werden können.
4. Die Bewerbungsunterlagen umfassen ein vollständig ausgefülltes Einreichformular und allfällige ergänzende Dokumente oder Materialien. Die Einreichunterlagen in deutscher, englischer oder französischer Sprache müssen spätestens am 30. September 2007 im Grazer Büro für Frieden und Entwicklung vorliegen (Wielandgasse 7, Postfach 486, A-8010 Graz) oder können auch per E-Mail eingereicht werden unter: jutta.dier@friedensbuero-graz.at.
5. Verfahren: Die Auswahl erfolgt durch eine Jury, die von einem Beirat beraten wird. Der/die PreisträgerIn wird am 31. Oktober 2007 bekannt geben. Die feierliche Preisverleihung durch den Bürgermeister findet am 9. Dezember 2007 in Graz statt.
NOTICE OF THE 2007 GRAZ HUMAN RIGHTS AWARD
The City of Graz announces an award for extraordinary achievements for human rights at thelocal level.Applications for the 2007 Human Rights Award (the award is awarded every two years) can be submitted immediately. Applications will be accepted until September 30, 2007.
1. Nomination Eligibility: Any person/organisation is entitled to nominate potential award winners, although self-nominations are not permitted. Individuals, groups of individuals or associations and other legal entities in Austria and Europe, who have accomplished achievements for human rights at the local level, can be nominated.
2. Subject matter: Achievements for human rights at the local level A particular concern of the Human Rights City of Graz is the fostering of the peaceful coexistence of all people within the local community. The achievements that are submitted are assessed with regard to the advancement of tolerance, dialogue and reconciliation and their impact on local life in Graz and other European cities.
3. The total amount of the award provided by the City of Graz is € 7,000. The award can be divided if there are several award winners. Applications have to comply with the charter of the Graz Human Rights Award, which can be obtained together with the submission form from the Peace Centre Graz or can be downloaded from the internet at www.friedensbuero-graz.at.
4. The application documents comprise a completely filled in submission form and any other additional documents or materials. The submission documents in German, English or French have to be submitted to the Peace Centre Graz (Friedensbüro Graz, Wielandgasse 7, Postfach 486, A-8010 Graz) or can be submitted via E-mail to jutta.dier@friedensbuero-graz.at by no later than September 30, 2007.
5. Procedure: Selection takes place by way of a jury that is advised by an advisory council. The award winner is announced on October 31, 2007. The ceremonial awarding of the award by the mayor takes place in Graz on December 9, 2007.
OUVERTURE DU CONCOURS DU PRIX DE GRAZ DES DROITS DE L’HOMME 2007
La ville de Graz propose un prix pour honorer des initiatives et réalisations exceptionnelles dans le domaine des droits de l’homme sur le plan communal.La remise des candidatures pour ce prix des droits de l’homme, qui sera décerné tous les deux ans, est ouverte dès maintenant. La date limite de dépôt des candidatures est le 30 septembre 2007.
1. Proposition des candidats: Toute personne/organisation a le droit de proposer d’éventuels lauréats. Il est interdit de proposer sa propre candidature. Peuvent être proposés des personnes physiques, des groupes de personnes ou des associations ainsi que d’autres personnes morales en Autriche et en Europe, et dont les réalisations sur le plan communal soutiennent les droits de l’homme.
2. Objet du prix: Initiatives et réalisations sur le plan communal en faveur des droits de l’homme La ville de Graz, ville des droits de l’homme, soutient particulièrement la promotion d’une cohabitation paisible entre toutes les personnes au sein d’une commune. Les initiatives proposées seront évaluées selon leur degré de promotion de la tolérance, du dialogue et de la réconciliation ainsi que selon leurs effets sur la vie communale de Graz et autres villes européennes.
3. Le Prix proposé par la ville de Graz est doté d’un montant total de € 7.000, --. En cas d’attribution du prix à plusieurs candidats celui-ci peut être partagé entre les lauréats. Les dossiers de candidature doivent être conformes au règlement du Prix de Graz des Droits de l’Homme. 4. Le dossier de candidature comprend le formulaire de candidature, dûment rempli, ainsi que d’éventuels documents complémentaires. 5. Procédure: Un jury, assisté par une commission consultative, choisira le ou les lauréats. Le nom du lauréat et/ou des lauréats sera communiqué le 31 octobre 2007. Le prix sera remis par le maire de Graz lors d’une cérémonie solennelle le 9 décembre 2007 à Graz.
